New mother Evan Rachel Wood who gave birth to a baby son on Monday the 29th July 2013 opted for a home birth rather than a hospital delivery.
Speaking yesterday her husband Billy Elliott actor Jamie Bell was full of praise for his wife tweeting "Wow! What a day. Evan you are my warrior! You never cease to amaze. Thank you for birthing our son so naturally & peacefully. You did it!"
The 'True Blood' actress replied to his tweet thanking her husband for his support while she was in labour, and was lost for words as she tried to express the love and joy she was feeling.
Evan was pursuaded by TV presenter Ricki Lake to have a home birth as she felt it was far better than the clinical surroundings of a maternity suite.

It taught me so much & aided my decision in having a natural home birth which my son & I are now forever grateful for. (sic)"
