The Playmobil FunPark
Near Nuremberg, this park has become a key destination in the German family leisure park market. The secret of success for this best loved family attraction is the park’s unique philosophy – Getting Active! With an increase in the concern about the inactivity of kids, the Playmobil FunPark offers a healthy choice for parents.
The 90,000 square meters FunPark features eight Playmobil play worlds in life size and special adventure playgrounds. Two favourites are the lion knights’ empire castle and the giant pirate ship. On rainy or cold days there is the indoor HOB Centre with toys and giant sets, stage shows and climbing fun.
The 2,400 square metre Pirate Lake plays the leading role for young buccaneers who can take a raft or cross narrow walkways to reach the Pirate Flagship or the two Pirate Islands. All maids in distress and gallant knights will find open doors to times long past in the Lion Knights' Empire Castle. A watchtower, ramparts with rope nets and a climbing wall make the middle ages an exciting present day experience.
Young and old can set out on a treasure hunt in the Gold Mine. Young farmers will love the rustic Farm with its easy-to-care-for animals and a tractor race course. The water world with its majestic Noah’s Ark is a family favourite. Kids can have fun with all Playmobil boats and marine animals. Young builders will enjoy the impressive Stone Quarry at the entrance. There’s also a balancing course.
All active kids can have fun in the roofed Climbing Garden. This 1,000 square meter area offers protection from the elements and can also be used in cool weather with its closing glass walls. A total of seven towers can be climbed and explored. Young master climbers can reach heights of up to six meters with rope constructions and prove their agility in airy heights. Firm bridges link individual junctions and allow for climbing, balancing and swinging.
Challenging contests or simple games can be held at the spectacular Playmobil Miniature Golf Course. Accented by colourful landscaping this 18-hole miniature course is an attractive addition to the FunPark’s activity play grounds. The Miniature Golf Course can be entered separately from the FunPark (Admission: adults 4.50 €, kids 3.50 €).
May through September the FunPark Beer garden is open from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. It can be visited separately from the FunPark free of charge. With seating for 900 people, of which 150 are indoors, the Beer garden is a great place to relax. Next to the Beer garden you will find the Active Park, a specially developed fitness course; along with several sports activities including curling ensuring physical exercise and fun for all visitors.
The Beergarden, Active Park and Miniature Golf Course have become a great relaxing and fun destination in the Nuremberg area for families, singles or anybody
