Whisky tastes better after a few years spent in Space.
A bottle of Scotch that orbited earth for four years on the International Space Station came back with a better quality and character than its earthling counterpart.
Proving that life could be better in a galaxy far, far away, whisky-makers found a way of transforming the flavour of our favourite distilled spirit.
Director of distilling at Ardbeg on the Scottish island of Islay, Dr Bill Lumsden, said: ''It was noticeably different.
''When I nosed and tasted the space samples much more of Ardbeg's smoky, phenolic character shone through to reveal flavours I've not encountered here on earth before.''
