A photograph of Pope Francis in a classic rap artist pose has gone viral, as Twitter users write imaginary rap lyrics to complement the photo.
The photograph was captured during the Pope's first visit to the African continent, as he made a speech in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic (CAR).
The Pope toured the CAR, Kenya and Uganda over six days, urging Christians and Muslims to live peacefully together, but as he left the CAR for Rome, Twitter voiced its own imaginings of what His Holiness may have been "rapping" about.
Social media users have been posting their rap lyrics, known as bars, under the hashtag #PopeBars, referencing rappers like Eminem, Notorious B.I.G, and Snoop Dogg in their rhymes.
The meme has proved immensely popular, and the photo has been shared more than 100,000 times with different hilarious captions.
