As part of a documentary being filmed on the Royal Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands, drones were being used to capture footage of chimpanzees in the enclosure.

Unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately depending on how you look at the footage - a 23-year-old chimpanzee named Pushi was less than happy with the device invading her personal space.

As the drone camera glided past, Pushi used a large branch to lash out whilst showing with some hilarious facial expression that she had had enough of being filmed.

USA Today were told later by the zoo's official spokesperson Bas Lukkenaar that Pushi's annoyance at being filmed wasn't exactly surprising to the staff.

Lukkenaar explained: "Like human beings, some of the chimpanzees are really individuals with their own character.

"Some are good at throwing and others only produce poor shots, and Pushi is a very clever and capable chimpanzee."

Now the residents of Burgers' Zoo have proved popular enough to spawn their own hashtag - #Chimpanselfie - in light of the events.
