Facebook was filled with messages from fans of the writer Terry Pratchett yesterday, when they found out that he had sadly lost his battle to Alzeimer's Disease.
Oval Station in London shares a thought of the day each day and today the staff chose to pay tribute to the writer who captured the hearts and minds of many young readers.
The sign read;
'The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.'
This quote was from one of his book Diggers. He completed his last book in 2014, set in the famous Discworld he created for his readers.
He was said to have died at home with his cat sleeping on his bed next to him and his family present.
His passing was announced on Twitter at 3.07pm- 'Terry too Death's arm and followed him through the doors under the endless night.'
