The Palace of Versailles, or simply Versailles, is a royal château in Versailles a wealthy suburb of Paris, some 20 kilometres southwest of Paris.

Renovations will reportedly cost 4 to 7 million euros, on top of a similar amount required to set up the hotel within the buildings.
The beautiful palace, once a hunting lodge, was transformed by King Louis XIV in the 17th century, and is now one of the most visited sites in France. The palace, however, still serves political functions to Heads of state.
