JK Rowling, much-loved author of the Harry Potter book series, has condemned and now mocked a tweet from Rupert Murdoch which insisted that even peaceful Muslims played a role and must bear the responsibilities of jihadi attacks.

To-date, Rupert's tweet has been retweeted over 6,500 times, but JK Rowling has done much better with almost 28,500 retweets.
Murdoch's tweet saw much criticism from the time it was posted, and so the media mogul went on to follow it up with another tweet blasting political correctness.
In response to this, Rowling went on to sarcastically offer to take responsibility for the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition:
A follow-up saw a link posted by Rowling which cited a recent study suggesting eight times as many Muslims as non-Muslims have been killed in terrorist attacks.
Murdoch has not responded to Rowling or her tweets.
