Dove has done it again- they set up two doorways- one read- 'average' and one read 'beautiful'- in San Francisco, Shanghai, Delhi, London and Sao Paulo.
They did it in a bid to prove that beauty is a choice- and that the power of choice was in their hands, even if it at first it made the women involved feel a little self-conscious.
Some women walked through the 'average' door without a second thought- but when they came out of the other side they didn't feel good. Those who went through the 'beautiful' door felt 'triumphant' if not in many cases a little embarrassed to admit the truth. Sadly, one woman could not find it in herself to make the choice and walked away.
Many asked themselves if that is what they really believed about themselves or what they believed society would think about them. And with a little help from friends and mums- some women found out what was on the other side of the word 'beautiful' and remember to see a beautiful woman in the mirror always.
