Brit rap superstar Professor Green is set to release personal favourite ‘Avalon’ on September 24th 2012.
Taken from the Double Gold-selling ‘At Your Inconvenience’ album, the single features vocals from alt-rock band VersaEmerge’s Sierra Kusterbeck and is heavier sounding than Green’s previous tracks. Different from the album version and mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent, remixes come courtesy of Kat Krazy, Patrick Hagenaar and Jamie Grind.
‘Avalon’ has also been picked up by Relentless Energy Drink to provide the soundtrack for their first ever TV advert.
Also starring Professor Green, the advert is a mixture of action and performance and uses cinematic imagery to show his journey from street to stage.
2011 saw Professor Green secure his first number one single with the highly personal, ‘Read All About It’ which featured Emeli Sande plus the release of his sophomore album ‘At Your Inconvenience’.
Perfectly blending credibility with commercial appeal he secured live TV performances on the X Factor (he was the first rapper to perform on the show) and then Later With Jools in the same week.
The year ended on a high with him supporting Coldplay on their European arena tour. This year kicked off with his first Brits nomination for ‘Best British Male’, he then went on to play his biggest headline tour to date which culminated in a sell-out home town show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton
