Packed to the nines with luscious melodies and bouncy riffs, Belgium Alt-rockers ‘Get Off My Shoes’ are braced for a full assault of the UK this Spring.
The band release their stunning new EP ‘Let’s Not Rush Out And Tell The World’, on Monday 1st April through Thanks But No Thanks Records.
With echoes of Weezer, Bloc Party, and Foals, Get Off My Shoes have created an infectious sound that merges engaging synth-laden pop with off-the-hook rock. The result is an alluring, non-pretentious ‘indie’ rock with true depth.
The band were formed in Antwerp, Belgium, back in the Spring of 2010 by chief songwriter and singer Jonas Meukens. Jonas is aided and abetted by Ziggy Van Wallendael (Drums / Samples), Jasper Willemen (Synth/ Backing Vocals), Stijn Debontridder (Guitars) and lastly, Glenn Van Criekingen (Bass / Backing Vocals).
After rigorous set-sculpting throughout the majority of 2010, the freshly formed five piece soon hit the road and have now played over one hundred European shows, opening for the likes of The Subways, The Get Up Kids, Joyce Manor, and Apologies I Have None, to name a few.
