“We weren’t born to follow, come on get up off your knees. When life is a bitter pill to swallow, you got to hold on to what you believe. Believe that the sun will shine tomorrow, believe that your saints and sinners bleed. We weren’t born to follow, you

The world’s biggest rock band return with a single set to blast a fresh dose of uplifting rock n roll onto a planet in need of a shot in the arm.

26 years into an incredible career, Jon, Richie, Tico and David just keep sweeping all before them, fresh from being named as the world’s biggest touring band in 2008, they sound as vital as ever.

The single “We Weren’t Born To Follow”, is a massive piece of anthemic rock, built for stadiums, standing alongside their classics from Livin’ On A Prayer to You Give Love A Bad Name.

It is the first single from the forthcoming new album “THE CIRCLE”, out Nov 2nd.

“Having had 5 studio records in this decade, there are songs on each that represent the world around us,” says Jon Bon Jovi of the band’s enduring optimism, “And while they don’t always like what they see, they try hard not to see the cup as half empty.”

This is a landmark year like no other for Bon Jovi, they not only have a new album and single to launch but a forthcoming documentary “When We Were Beautiful” by filmmaker Phil Griffin shedding fascinating light into the usually hidden world of a global rock band.

“We Weren’t Born To Follow” was written (and co-produced) by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, and was produced by John Shanks, who worked with Bon Jovi on their last two albums, Have A Nice Day (2005) and Lost Highway (2007).

Have A Nice Day made history when it debuted with the largest first week sales ever in the band’s career.  Lost Highway repeated the feat when it surpassed the first week sales of its predecessor and gave Bon Jovi their first #1 Billboard album debut, hitting number 2 in the UK.

Bon Jovi has set the standard for more than two decades as one of the most successful rock bands ever.  Globally, the multi-Grammy Award-winning group has sold more than 120 million albums and performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans.

Bon Jovi’s previous album Lost Highway debuted at #1 in the U.S. and around the world.  The resulting “Lost Highway World Tour” – which famously came to a close with an historic free concert in New York City’s Central Park and two sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden – was ranked as 2008’s #1 top-selling tour around the world according to Billboard and Pollstar.
