South-coast riff-tyrants stake their claim by unveiling their debut release ‘Another Rainy Day’, out Monday 10th December through all digital stores.
Imagine the Deftones and Cancer Bats having a bar fight to Nirvana blasting on the jukebox, and you are somewhere close to the engaging sounds of Bleak Falls.
Formed during the later part of 2011, the Sussex melodic hardcore fivesome display a sound that brims with earnest emotion and broody atmosphere. Infused with thoughtful depth, raw power, and drive, their songs will undoubtedly sweep you along for a killer ride.
So far, the south-coast quintet have enjoyed a fantastic year. Having already been highly touted by Front Magazine, and through widespread shows throughout the south coast and London, the five-piece have amassed a growing army of fans.
In passing, Bleak Falls have shared stages with Landscapes, The Long Haul, Isolated, Honour Is Dead, If Heroes Should Fail, and Set Your Sails. To date, the band’s growth has been impressive.
Bleak Falls now charge forward with the nationwide release of their debut EP ‘Another Rainy Day’, which is slated for a December launch date.
The record instantly takes flight with visceral guitar scapes before the grimy metallic-punk of ‘Morning Light’ grabs you by the scruff of the neck.
‘Chapter Eighteen’ tips its cap to the low-slung groove of Deftones and the brawling rage of The Cancer Bats, where future single ‘Dear Brother’ showcases not only the band’s maturity and melancholic slant, but also their budding diversity.
Lastly, ‘Pass A Promise’ closes the EP with another powerful chunk of snarly in your face melodic hardcore. Plug in and soak it up; these guys are set to rise in 2013!
