Alabama Shakes’ debut UK show, scheduled for 22nd February at Boston Arms was the first 2012 NME Awards show to sell out, so the band added two additional dates - 23rd February and 24th, which have now sold out as well, leading to the third show being moved to a bigger room in the venue.
Jack White’s Third Man Records has selected Alabama Shakes to kick off its series of live 45 releases. A two-song 7" from the band’s fall 2011 session at Third Man in Nashville, is due out in late January.
