Lightspeed is the opening track from Twin Atlantic’s forthcoming mini-album Vivarium, produced by John Travis and will be released in September and preceded by the single 'You're Turning Into John Wayne'.
As frontman Sam McTrusty explains, “We’ve been away for a little while recording Vivarium, so we wanted to give something back to our fans as a thank you for their patience and continued support.”
Lightspeed follows Twin Atlantic’s critically acclaimed single, ‘What is Light? Where is Laughter?’ in September 2008, and their self-released EP ‘A Guidance from Colour’ in March 2008.
The band has built a supportive following throughout the UK from touring with bands such as The Subways, Biffy Clyro and Circa Survive, in addition to opening slots alongside The Smashing Pumpkins and Thrice. During their headline tour in March 2009 they sold out the 1,000 capacity QMU venue in their hometown of Glasgow.
Fresh from their appearance at Donington Park’s Download Festival, and with further festival performances already confirmed at Guilfest, T In The Park and Sonisphere as well as a soon-to-be-announced headlining jaunt, the run up to Vivarium - like the record itself - is looking very healthy.
