Sean Smith – vocalist with Welsh rising stars The Blackout – will be co-presenting the XFM Rock Show live this weekend with regular host Katie P.
The two will be presenting a four-hour Nu-Metal special, honoring the late 90s rock genre that brought pleasure to so many, and is back in 2009 will full force!
“Nu-Metal is great,” says Sean, whose own band did a cover of Limp Bizkit track My Generation for a Kerrang! Magazine CD. “It’s total party music!”
“Everyone has liked Nu-Metal at one point,” he explains, “whether they admit it or not. Nu-Metal was one of the biggest genres in the world – and for a good reason. Everyone has a favorite Nu-Metal track, and hopefully Katie P and I can play them all at the weekend!”
“I can’t wait,” he adds. “Doing this show is going to be one of my highlights of the year!”
On top of the Nu-Metal special, The Blackout will be debuting new track STF Uppercut on the show from their forthcoming new release The Best In Town, which will be out in May through Epitaph Records.
The Rock Show will be live on air from 10pm til' 2am Saturday February 28.
