Slipknot might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they must have done something right as the masked-clan have been named double winners at the first ever Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards.
The shock-rockers won Best Riff and Best Live Band honours in the hard rock and heavy metal prizegiving at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Other awards went to Metallica (Best Album), Dethklok (Best International Band) and Hellyeah's Vinnie Paul (Most Awesomely Good Drummer), and there were high honours for Megadeth's Dave Mustaine (Golden God Award) and Ozzy Osbourne (Lifetime Achievement).
Meanwhile, Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx's tattooist girlfriend Kat Von D was named Honorary Headbanger and Isis took home the Best Underground Metal Band prize.
