Slayer have vowed to complete their upcoming U.K. tour, despite frontman Tom Araya’s ongoing health problems.
The band was recently forced to axe a series of Australian concerts after Araya first lost his voice. Araya was then told he needed surgery for a back problem, which curtailed the Canadian leg of Slayer's tour.
It was feared the operation would also force the cancellation of the band's British dates - but drummer Dave Lombardo insists they will make it across the Atlantic. He says, "We did have to pull out of a Canadian tour with Megadeth because of Tom's situation. But, as far as I'm aware, the British shows will go ahead. Of course, Tom's health must take priority. However, he's making good progress."
Slayer is due to kick off their U.K. concerts next week.
