Simian Mobile Disco (SMD) are due to play a standalone London for the the NME Award series, playing new tracks from their firthcoming album such as Synthesise, 10,000 Horses Canât Be Wrong and Cruel Intentions, which features Beth Ditto. It will be their first live date in London since headlining the Field Day Festival in August of last year, and they have invited the progressive death metal electro 12 piece Chrome Hoof to support them, as well as hot disco newcomers Fan Death.
Following a winter season performing with the Prodigy and Hot Chip at the Big Day Out Festival in Australia, SMD are back in the UK in early February for this hugely anticipated one off NME Awards show and are ready to blow the roof off 1a Camden High Street.
It is bound to be one of the most exciting nights of the NME Shockwaves Awards Tour 2009. Their album will follow later in the year.
