Robert Plant has hinted he turned down the chance to reunite with Led Zeppelin because he's fallen out of love with heavy rock music.
After the band re-teamed in 2007 to honour late Atlantic record boss Ahmet Ertegun, fans clamoured for a full reunion tour, but Plant has steadfastly refused, preferring to stick to his solo work and collaborations with bluegrass singer Alison Krauss.
In a new interview he reveals his interest in heavy rock has waned. Confessing his ears "bled for two days" after attending a recent Them Crooked Vultures concert - featuring former bandmate John Paul Jones - Plant says, "I feel so far away from heavy rock now. It's quite odd, how mine and John's paths seem to have crossed over - we've sort of gone into each others' worlds a bit."
