Josh Klinghoffer will replace John Frusciante in the Red Hot Chili Peppers , and his first concert as an official band member will be at Neil Young’s 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute in Los Angeles later this month.
Last month, guitarist Frusciante confirmed he had quit the group and now Klinghoffer, who has toured with the band, has revealed he's the new guy.
Frusciante's exit from the band isn't his first - he quit the group in the early 1990s and returned in 1998.
Ironically, Klinghoffer, who has also toured with Beck and Gnarls Barkley, featured on Frusciante's solo album The Empyrean.
