Norwegian heavy metal rockers Mayhem have cancelled their North American tour - just weeks before the band's first show.
Mayhem's Deconsecration Part II tour with fellow rockers Tombs, Ludicra and Krallice was scheduled to kick off 7 April (10) in Washington D.C. - but the dates have now been scrapped over financial woes.
A statement from the band reads: "Despite all attempts to save the USA/Canada tour, we are now forced to cancel it due to the financial situation.
“We are very sorry for all those who expected to see Mayhem live. We hope the situation will be better next time. We will work hard on getting back over there as soon as possible."
