We all love to hear Radio One put musicians through their paces in their live lounge, when when I heard me musical hero, Simon Neil was heading in their with the cute J.P Reid, to perform their latest Marmaduke Duke offering, I was just a little excited!
I’m so pleased that these guys are finally getting the recognition they deserve on the radio waves, because it’s been dominated for far too long by girl and boy bands who would be far better off being told where to go by Simon Cowell on X Factor.
Regardless of that though, Simon brought his Biffy Clyro possie of James and Ben Johnson and ditched the Atmosphere and the Dragon persona has he and J.P just played themselves for a day.
The pair and their mates rattled out an acoustic version of their latest hit Rubber Lover (which you can see below) as well as a pretty questionable version of Beyonce’s Single ladies (put a ring on it) - but I didn’t like the original… so it’s a shame that Simon (who looked super hot) couldn’t save it for me…
Either way, you need to check out this video, and get ‘real’ music back into the charts where it belongs… the day of the manufactured pop band is over.
