Korn bassist Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu has shown his somewhat softer side (yes there is one there) after pouring his heart out about his troubled first marriage.

The rocker has told how his numerous affairs during his first marriage - to a woman known only as Sydney - destroyed their relationship and drove his ex to violence. He explains that the partnership was extremely unhappy and blames his adultery for infuriating his former spouse and driving her to jealous rages.

He notes one particular incident in his upcoming memoir, Got the Life, which made him realise that his first marriage wouldn't last. He writes, "She ran into the kitchen, grabbed a butcher knife, and came toward me like a crazed animal, wildly swinging at me. She cut open my shirt and made four shallow gashes in my chest.

"I didn't know you had to have morals to be married. I wanted the cake, the icing, the lit candles, everything... (but) whenever you sit down to eat the whole cake, you always pay the price."

The pair divorced shortly after the incident and the star went on to marry his second wife Shela Arvizu, with whom he has two daughters. Arvizu married Beber in 2006, that didn’t last either and now he’s onto his third wife, Dena Beber, mother of his young son Israel, whom he claims (thank God) he is happily married to.
