Punk icon Iggy Pop is "embarrassed" by the furor over banned insurance company ads he shot for the British market.
The Lust For Life singer was signed up to represent U.K. firm Swiftcover as part of a new TV campaign, even though the firm doesn't provide insurance for entertainers.
The ad was banned for misleading the public by the Advertising Standards Authority in England last month.
But is seems that Iggy feels he has been left red faced by the controversy; he tells Britain's The Times newspaper, "This is so embarrassing."
Don’t worry Iggy, we’re all too familiar with false advertising over here!
