Chris Daughtry has added DJ to his resume after taking over an evening hour slot on a U.S. radio network.

The former American Idol contestant has signed up as a MyFM guest host in Los Angeles for this week. The rock star can be heard playing his favourite tunes and chatting about life between 7pm and 8pm local time.

And he's got plenty to talk about - he recently revealed he's about to become a dad again, to twins.

The Daughtry star took to his website to announce the happy news on 17 May, and revealed he and his wife, Deanna, are using a surrogate for the pregnancy because Deanna had a partial hysterectomy in 2006.
