With an incredible voice, fierce beauty and star quality in abundance, West End star and RnB songstress Shanay Holmes releases her debut single 'Worth the Wait' this Autumn.
Self taught by obsessively dissecting songs in her bedroom as a child in the small town where she grew up in Buckinghamshire; Shanay, of English & Spanish Caribbean heritage, honed her craft in an urban youth choir in Camden, during her teens.
Shanay went on to star in the West End after being spotted by a casting director at an open casting, playing a lead role in Thriller Live, and touring the UK with the show.
Shanay will also be part of the Original Cast of the new West End musical The Bodyguard.
Her recent collaboration with underground vocal house producer DJ SKT ‘Sky High’, which Shanay co-wrote and features on, reached no. 8 in the Music Week Upfront Club Charts in July and has received plays on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1xtra, Choice FM and Kiss FM.
After 2 years of writing and recording music, a broad mix of R&B, dance, hip hop and neo soul, Shanay, 23, is finally ready to explode into the spotlight with her introductory single ‘Worth The Wait'.
Shanay introduced the song earlier this year with an acoustic performance for SBTV where she was dubbed by many as 'the UK's answer to Beyonce'. 25k views later and a host of appearances at live showcases across London, Shanay is ready to unveil her new music video and a stella remix package courtesy of Funky Stepz, Blame, Preditah and Ruff Loaderz.
