Paired up with a clever, attention-grabbing video, the track Moving is a glorious blast of fresh sounding colourful pop. With the same authentic tone as some of the great lead vocalists such as Glyn Jones of The Artic Monkeys and Luke Pritchard of The Kooks, Travis soothes with his brooding vocals surrounded by harmonies.
Starting with a simple guitar melody the track soars into a catchy chorus of ‘And then we move again/ so take the curve and move along/ Until we're gone, we're moving on/And on, and on, and on/And on, and on, and on…’
The band, more familiar with headlining festivals than intimate venues, played a triumphant show at The Islington Assembly Hall in June – their first London gig since the Astoria in 2008.
With two number one albums, five Top Ten singles, two Brit Awards and more than 8 million record sales, Where You Stand is the follow-up to Travis’s 2008 album Ode to J. Smith.
Both the album and the single Moving are out on the 19th of August.
