Upon first listen, I immediately liken Bad For Lazarus' tone as a group to that of the Arctic Monkeys - scuffed up with imperfections and laid over a delicious and meaty multi-guitar instrumental.
It's a track that will sound great with the sun beating down on you, a bottle of cider in your hand and friends laughing at your side whilst a barbecue burns your burgers and sausages because of over-cautious cooking.
Bad For Lazarus could be a volcano, slowly but constantly erupting and spewing metaphorical lava over the gritty and rocky genres, burning away the lessor rubbish that nobody really has the time for and seeping into every nook and cranny.
Hopefully that same effect will see them shot into super stardom, as though their sound can be likened to that of others in their lane, there are moments of unique and completely satisfying magic.
Bad For Lazarus' new single 'Caught In The Twist' is released June 16, followed by their debut album 'Life's A Carnival, Bang! Bang! Bang!' on July 28.
