The Sea grabbed everyone’s attention with this debut album Get It Back and they are new back with their new track New York, the first track off their forthcoming LP Rooftops.
And to say that this is an anthemic track is a bit of an understatement as it is a head nodding and toe-tapping song from start to finish.
If the rest of the new album is going to be anything like New York then we are in for a hell of a treat when that album drops in May, this is one of the most uplifting singles I have heard in a while.
There is an infectious melody that runs throughout the track as they mix rock, pop as well as a bit of blues to make this great single.
Thrown in some guitars and some horns and this is such a powerful - honestly live New York is just going to immense.
The London duo is also on song vocally and they have produced a really energetic track that you can’t help but get swept along with.
New York is just an assault on the senses and I absolutely can’t wait to hear the rest of what promises to be a fab album.
