Huey Morgan is the charismatic frontman of Fun Lovin’ Criminals and this year has seen him strike out on his own with his debut album Say It To My Face.
Christmas On The Side Of The Road is the new single to be taken from that record that is inspired by the military services.
As an ex-United States Marine himself this is a very poignant track for Morgan in what is one of the best ‘Christmas’ tracks to be released as it is so different to any others.
There is a real country and western feel to the track as the pedal steel guitar really drives the track forward - not to mention it sounds absolutely fantastic.
It’s half sung/half spoken by Morgan and his deep drawl really does just sound totally fantastic and there is a really heart felt track that packs an emotional punch.
Christmas By The Side Of The Road is a track that pays tribute to the work that our armed forces are doing oversees and Morgan rams home the point that these heroes should not be forgotten.
And if one Christmas themed track is not enough Morgan has recorded his version of ‘So This Is Christmas’ his deep and rich vocal put a new spin on this track.
