RuPaul's back with another brand new body of work in the form of 'Born Naked' - a compilation of fun, electronic tracks featuring collaborations with Big Freedia, Lucian Piane, Myah Marie, Martha Wash, Frankmusik, Michelle Visage and Clairy Browne.
'Adrenaline' sounds like the song that should have been on Britney Spears' latest offering 'Britney Jean' (the Myah Marie comparison is truly undeniable), and a special moment comes with 'Can I Get an Amen' where Martha Wash lends her distinct vocals to the track.
Autotune is rife throughout, but that's what's so charming about RuPaul's music if you've listened to it from the very beginning. Ru's voice is distinguishable even with the manipulation used on it - this isn't just another shambolically put together record where everything sounds the same.
'Modern Love' is laced with cheese - and I love it, and a tender moment comes from the Michelle Visage duet in 'Let The Music Play'.
If you know RuPaul and have ever caught a season of RuPaul's Drag Race, this album will absolutely have you gagging on its eleganza, and of course the uniqueness, nerve and talent woven throughout.
Ru's back and with a bang, and 'Born Naked' is just another diamond moment in her fabulous career.
"We're all born naked, and the rest is drag."
'Born Naked' is out now via iTunes.
