Lady Antebellum have had a terrific couple of years with some great albums under their belts as well as a string of awards.
This week the trio are back with their terrific new album Golden, which is their fourth album with Capitol Nashville.
If you love Lady Antebellum then you are going to love this record as it really does show this band at their very best as they show of their great vocals and writing style.
Get To Me kicks off the album as Hillary Scott’s unmistakable voice bursts into life in what is another upbeat and infectious track.
The melodies and arrangements, as you would expect, are easy on the ear and while Scott’s warm and powerful voice really just washes over you.
Downtown was one of the first tracks to be lifted off the album and this is one of the more country sounding songs on the album.
The band mix three guitar hooks as they delicately intertwine with each other and the all fit together with some great steel pedal work.
The band continues to mix their country influences with more pop sounding tracks and they move between the genres with such ease.
The band have called Golden a road-trip record that takes them back to when the trio first met and there really is a looking back feel to the record.
With tracks such as Nothin’ Like The First Time and Long Teenage Goodbye that look back and young love and starting out in life.
Lady Antebellum have always had a knack of telling great stories through their music and they continue to do exactly that with every track on this fantastic album.
Lady Antebellum are back with a bang as they have delivered another infectious album that is packed with great track after great track -this is one of the albums of the year so far!!
