As one of this year's most hotly-anticipated movies, the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie adaptation of the popular erotica novel had to have a soundtrack that would match up to the legacy already set out.
And as a package, that's something it ultimately delivers on. The silky smooth tones of Jessie Ware's 'Meet Me In The Middle' almost seem too perfect and innocent for the subject matter, but this is balanced out with the likes of Beyoncé, delivering a gritty performance of 'Crazy In Love' and a rehashed 'Haunted' from her latest studio album.
Though there's many standouts, they don't come better than track number five, as Ellie Goulding delivers a resounding and infectious vocal in a song destined for greatness, 'Love Me Like You Do'.
Sia is - as always - on her best form in 'Salted Wound', illiciting emotion as she gives a passionate and raw, soulful glimpse into the soul of the movie, and Frank Sinatra's addition with the classic 'Witchcraft' could have readers of the book instantly slotting it into the scenes they've already envisioned.
Whilst a couple of tunes - Vaults' 'One Last Night' and Skylar Grey's 'I Know You' - may not be as memorable as those that surround them, this is a strong and well-collated collection, bringing together an array of different talents that all sound perfect together, building hype through music for this extreme franchise.
The Fifty Shades Of Grey (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is out now, with the movie hitting cinemas nationwide on Friday, February 13.
