She's already gaining airplay through Radio 1, and it's easy to see why after just the first track of her new EP 'Then We Collide'.
Stamping her unique tone on four tracks, her simplicity is something to be admired in a world jam-packed full of overproduced tunes that could have been so much more.
However, don't think she's a one-trick pony, as 'Unfolding' shows how minor production and voice manipulation can end in a haunting and riveting piece of music.
She isn't afraid to experiment with her sound which is to be admired, but she's absolutely at her best when she's beautifully crooning against a soft beat.
Would love to hear something more uptempo from her in the future to see just how she'd adapt to the tracks, but 'Then We Collide' is a stellar effort that is to be applauded.
Emily and The Woods' EP 'Then We Collide' is to be released Thursday, January 16.
