Living for the weekend is the perfect soundtrack for dancing around your bedroom while your getting ready to party. With club anthems like Sam Sparro's Black and Gold and sing-along classics like Valerie. This album is perfect for getting you in the mood.

Combining some of the summers newer tracks, like Duffy's Mercy, with favourites such as Chelsea Dagger and Crazy this CD really does a job. By including a few older songs the compilation does a way with the notion that one of the two CD's is always going to be a bit below par.

The first track, fittingly, Living For Weekend by Hard-Fi really sets the tone. As it burst into life you cant help but nod your head and sing-along.

Gabriella Cilmi soon follows with her debut track Sweet About Me, a deservedly massive hit. Straight after, and bringing the tempo up a bit more is another recent smash hit, Black Kids with I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To dance With You.

Further down the line up is James Morrison's Wonderful World, granted it's not the liveliest of songs but it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

The Fratellis' Chelsea dagger is guaranteed to have everyone running to the dance floor while chanting, "Da da da da da da".

Randomly Lynard Skynard's Sweet Home Albama is thrown into the mix too. Surely Kid Rock's All Summer Long would have been a better choice, but what the hey, it is summer.

CD two is slightly more mellow but that is definitely not a bad thing. With offerings from Amy Winehouse and Damien Rice's beautiful Cannonball who's complaining.

The best track from the second Cd has got to be The Fray's How To save A Life, if it doesn't guaranteed to bring a tear to anyone's eye.

Ryan Adam's take on Oasis' Wonderwall is definitely worth a listen. Even hardcore Oasis fans will like it.

With only a handful of bad songs, this is like a dream compilation. So turn on the barbeque, whack this in the CD player and enjoy the weekend.
