Rock band Depth have been on the rise during 2012 and they are back this week with their explosive new EP Waiting For Waves.
There is a real energy from these boys from the get go as All I Know blasts into life and there is a real anthemic feel to this track - this is going to sound awesome life.
The guitars on this are simply fantastic and really do take centre stage with soaring hooks and some great riffs.
And while the guitar work really powers this track forward Luke Holliday is also on great form vocally as he shows off the power that his voice does possess.
Hope In Mind has a real presence to it and it really does have a very different sound to the opening song.
There is something a little more menacing about this song and yet there is still an energy that flows through it from start to finish.
Waiting For The Waves is the title track and it is an adrenaline fuelled song that once again shows off the talent of Luke and Ryan Holliday on guitar, Paul Hardy on bass and Robb Collins on drums.
Second Chances and Whispers are more melody soaked tracks that, in places, show off a quieter aspect before the guitars roar into life once again.
It is not hard to see why people are getting exited about Depth as this is a powerful and emotive collection of tracks that is packed with energy and aggression - bring all those elements together and it really is a great listen.
Depth is a band that is ready to rise and 2013 looks set to be the year when they will really make their breakthrough.
