Collisions may not be a well known band at the moment but don’t be surprised to see their profile rise after the release of their debut EP Believe In This.
The Brighton four piece blend metal and electro to produce their own rather unique sound and this EP is a great introduction to that sound.
Believe In This is the opening track on the EP and it is kicks off sounding like your traditional rock sound but the electronica element does kick in to give the track this other dimension - and the two elements do work really well together.
Fire Fire is a pulsating rock track that is high octane and fully of an in your face rock attitude that mixes distorted guitars with synthetic sounds.
Chasing Forms is perhaps the weakest track on the album as you get the feel that they don’t really know what the sound of this album is and it just feels incredibly disjointed.
But they are back on form with Push with is one hell of a rock tune that shows the musical might that this band could well have.
There may be some none fans of screaming listening to the album but I promise the screaming elements don‘t dominate the record.
Believe In This EP is a powerful collection of five rock and roll tracks that promise much from the new and very exciting band.
The electronic elements work so well and they really give Collisions a very different sound that is instantly recognisable.
Collisions are a band that could have a really big future.
