Sonic Boom Six have returned with 'Sunny Side of the Street', an amazing, acoustic-driven summer anthem.

A more chilled departure from the bands usual heavier ska/punk/hip-hop influenced sound, the track is a refreshing change from the band and will hopefully be a sign of what's to come from their next album.

Laila K carries the reggae track with some great vocals, backed by catchy and beautiful instrumentation.

This just sounds like summer, and has enough diversity within the one song to keep it interesting.

Barney Boom's rapped verse shows a different side to UK hip-hop.

The typical UK underground rap can often have a leaning towards a southern accent.

It's nice to hear some rhymes with a Mancunian sound, and the rapping adds an extra dimension to the chilled track.

'Sunny Side of the Street' is a bit of a departure for Sonic Boom Six, but this softer side could give them they break they deserve, if the album follows suit.
