Young Guns are one of those bands that I feel are going to sneak up behind you, hardly noticed, and then just become incredibly well-known overnight. A bit like Fall Out Boy. But with good songs.
The Buckinghamshire based quintet claim to be âtrouble in the best way possibleâ to be honest Iâve never known trouble to be a good thing, but if thatâs what theyâre saying, I guess we can run with it for a while.
The single itself is pretty much what youâd expect from the newest rock band on the scene, trashing guitars, pounding drums, and vocals that make you go a bit funny in your belly.
Itâs really nice to see Gustav Wood not jumping on the screamo bandwagon that a lot of bands in their genre seem to be clamouring onto, he has a super delicious voice and itâs no wonder that these fellas have clocked up the air miles, well motorway miles, with the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Lagwagon and 2008âs best export, You Me At Six.
But donât fear boys and girls, you havenât missed the Young Guns gig train just yet though, as they are just about to swan off with We Are The Ocean on a tour of the UK in January.
So if you want to know who the hottest new talent of 2009 is before all your friends; these guys are an absolute must.
Rating: 5/5 - These guys look set to make my top 10 bands in no time. And theyâre a bit fit too.
