The fact that I’ve never really heard the original version of Yo! Majesty’s Don’t Let Go could quite possibly put me in a bad position to then comment on the remixes of the single itself.
Although this isn’t really the type of single I would listen to out of choice, I’m sure it’s destined for massive airplay over the coming months and will be in practically every nightclub I visit this summer.
Taken from their forthcoming album, Futuristically Speaking…. Never Be Afraid (pictured) I think these guys have big things ahead of them, just possibly not in my CD player. What’s more, I’ve never really go the idea of a remix, to me most of them just sound like the original.
But as I haven’t heard the original, I can’t really compare it to that, however, to me anyway, all the remixes sound pretty much the same, so clearly you’re all going to point out how I’m so not ’down with the kids’ and that I know nothing about music, blah bah blah. I’ve heard it all now.
What’s more, whenever a song get’s a remotely negative review, everyone is quick to slate how stupid I am, but when something get’s good review, I suddenly go to being a Goddess, my ego is just going up and down like a yo yo, (geddit?)
So for the sake of being completely impartial I will have to say that the single is going to be a huge success amongst fans of ’this kind of music’ because it would make a great party anthem, but for metal fans such as myself, I’m afraid it’s a no-go really, pleasurable, but I’d rather buy U2’s new single.
Rating: 3/5 - It has potential
