The Days

The Days

Ever since I went to see The Days in Blackpool last year, I was expecting to see big things from this bunch off pretty boys. I mean if they have the looks, why the hell shouldn’t they have the beats too?

Their debut single No Ties has been a long time coming, but it really is worth waiting for, as far as debut singles go, this really is a musical masterpiece.

Taking a clear influence from some of the mainstream indie bands around at the moment, Luke Simpkins and friends do a stellar job of producing an upbeat pop track that looks to be one of 2009’s summer anthems.

The lyrics are everything we need from a modern pop-rock track at the moment, and in the current economic climate where money seems to be evaporating into thin air with every passing second, it’s great to have four rather gorgeous guys singing about having No Ties.

If you’re still not convinced then I think you should shuffle on down to one of their upcoming UK days, because it’s going to be a party you won’t find anywhere else. Unless of course you have a disco in your basement… but then you have to find some hot men and hoards of gin.

Rating: 5/5 - A sure-fire hit.
