Lady Gaga is officially a music legend. Fair enough she might not have had as many hits as The Beatles, or have dated some fellow celebrity swoon-pot, but from the four singles she’s had, this lass had come a long way.
Whilst the lyrics “Let’s have some fun, this beat is sick, I wanna take a ride on your disco stick," leave little to the imagination, it’s exactly why Miss Gaga has found herself as the biggest star of 2009 - expect with my Grandma of course, who prefers to listen to Website… that’s Westlife for anyone born after the 1940’s!
Whilst her completely obscure fashion sense and wonderful publicity stunts are still making us wonder whether she’s totally magnificent or totally barmy, I reckon whatever she does, provokes exactly the response she was looking for (except maybe the whole suicide debacle at the MTV VMA’s… but we’ll let that one go)
Whilst part of Gaga’s success is undoubtedly her outfits and her rather odd behaviour, the shameless innuendo’s weaved into her songs make sure the kids continue to buy single by the bucket load.
Whilst I wondered whether or not Gaga would be able to replicate the success of Just Dance, she did it with Poker Face, and again with the almost ballad-like Paparazzi; but LoveGame is just another pop-tastic offering from the Queen of eccentric, and I reckon whether I like it or not, it’s going to soar up the charts.
