Album: 808s and Heartbreak
Best know for his classic releases of 'Gold Digger' and 'Stronger', Kanye West is set to release his second single from his latest album.
'808s and Heartbreak' is the fourth studio album from the hip hop artist, which sees him continuing with a mellow and more vocal performance-led single release of 'Heartless'.
'Heartless' was released on January 12th, and so far has peaked at number 14 in the charts.
When I first heard this single it didn't get me nodding along in appreciation and I was more bored than inspired. It just doesn't sound like the old Kanye that we loved getting down to on the dance floor.
It features the similar auto-tune vocals like his previous single, 'Love Lockdown', which only reached number eight in the charts.
I understand that as an artist he wants to try something new, but it is just so depressing. I utterly disliked, 'Love Lockdown' as it felt like it was going somewhere but never actually did. Boring, boring, boring and 'Heartless' seems to be made of the same stuff.
Get back to what you're good at Kanye and bring out something we can all groove to please!
