With a title that had me expecting something along the lines of the Kaiser Chiefs song of the same name, but âOh My Godâ, I was pleasantly surprised.
I did have a bit of her previous hit, I Like You So Much Better When Youâre Naked, which, for a girl I totally agree with, because I think without the lumps and bumps of cloothes I look better naked, but boys naked⦠yuck⦠boys in boxers yes, but naked⦠no. (No Iâm not a lesbian)
Anyway, back to the song, Ida Maria delivers yet again with another catchy pop-punk track which Iâm pretty sure is going to ensure a ticket on the festival run this year⦠she have the looks, the attitude and the whiney, stompy feet kind of music that festival-goers cake in mud like lie tousle their hair and shake their heads around to.
If you havenât heard her, sheâs cashing in on the gap that Amy Winehouse left in the market, with the sort of vocals that are also being batted around by Adele, but rather than just being plain depressing, these are actually quite joyous - despite being lyrically quite morbid.
In all, itâs another song that will stand the test of summer, disappear into oblivion come Autumn and then become one of those âOh I used to love this song!â when it comes on the radio every once in a while.
Rating: 4 / 5 - Very catchy offering, and better than a lot of other songs at the moment.
