Defend Moscow - Manifesto

Manifesto makes me feel like I’m sat at home on a velvet couch with way to many springs watching the titles for Starsky and Hutch, Charlie’s Angles or some equally cheesy show in which just two (or three) ordinary folk save the world. Woo Hoo!

Their debut single looks like its going to be rolling around in my head for months to come, not because I’m unhealthily obsessed with crap TV, but because it’s going to be MASSIVE… on the radio, in the clubs and even on your iPod. This track is going to be one of the sounds of summer. Or late Spring… whatever.

The electronic fivesome met in Norway a year ago and bonded over their shared love for electro, pop and Indie as well as a deep addiction to Russian Vodka; and in their first offering, this is pretty evident! Based on the life of Leon Trotsky, the lyrics tell the story of being betrayed at what should be a moment of glory.

So they might not be taking over the world just yet, but with support slots alongside the likes of Sam Sparro, The Wombats and Sneaky Sound System, as well as an extensive 2009 tour, I think this year could be the year to Defend Moscow.

With an abundance of killer tracks these pretty pollys look set to lead and electro-pop revolution.
