Britney is the ringleader in Circus
"All eyes on me in the centre of a ring, just like a circus," sings Miss Spears. Well this is certainly true for the worlds biggest pop princess, as she brings out the second single, Circus, from her hit album of the same name.
Similar to previous single Piece of Me, from her Blackout album, Circus seems to reflect Britney's life at the moment, in the middle of a paparazzi circus. However, don't start feeling too sorry for her, as Britney herself tells us in the single, she's in charge, "I'm the ringleader, I call the shots!"
Circus is Britney back to her best, an electronic R&B tune that will have you running to the dance floor the minute Britney first cracks her whip in the opening seconds of the song. Up-tempo beats, with a chorus that has a Timberland style thump to it, this single is Britney doing what she does best.
This single has more to it than Britney's previous effort, Womanizer, which tended to be repetitive. However the chorus is just as catchy, and the tune will be in your head all day.
With Brit looking hot in the video, writhing around in her undies and showing off some fab dance moves, we can expect more of the same for 2009! Welcome back Britney, we've missed you!
