Alesha Dixon
Fresh from her hit single 'The Boy Does Nothing', Alesha Dixon is set to release R&B ballad, 'Breathe Slow'.
When I first heard this single I instantly started tapping my foot and trying to sing along - even though I didn't know the words. This is in huge contrast to her first single, 'The Boy Does Nothing' which I found just a bit annoying after a while.
But to prove me wrong the single from her debut album 'The Alesha Show' was a hit and reached a converted Top 5 position in the charts.
'Breathe Slow' is catchy, soulful and has a great beat to it. The lyrics which are meaningful and sincere seem to really connect with Alesha.
She says: 'It's about those moments in life when you want to lash out but you don't because getting angry would empower someone else, so instead you empower youself by staying cool.'
'Breathe Slow' is so different to her last single, and I definitely think it allows Alesha to show us all what a great voice she has. Her days on Strictly Come Dancing all still clear in the video, which sees Alesha in Las Vegas as a showgirl.
This latest single has really changed my mind about Alesha Dixon, and I think it is going to be a hit for the singer. The single is released on 9th February but her video is available to watch now - check it out below.
