These London grunge-meisters may look pretty sweet, but they couldn't be further away from being a cutesy punk band. Fronted by Romily Alice, Japanese Voyeurs employ a sound so raw you'd swear it hurts and while you try to decide whether you love or hate Alice's unique voice, we're trying to figure out just how something so tempestuous and devilishly wild can come out of such a pretty mouth.
Looking past Romily's mind-boggling vocals is hard to do, but once your there it's impossible not to become enamoured by the entire set up of the song. An infectious bass line races across the frets and once you've been lured into a comfortable melody the chorus comes thrashing through to deliver an almighty peak.
If anyone can revive the grunge genre, these are the guys for the job. Japanese Voyeurs are made for stardom.
