Since last the release of last year's crazy electro debut, Fer De Lance, London three-piece Rochelle have been working with remix wizards Manhattan Clique on the highly anticipated follow-up.
With much of the same electo-pop orchestration and babydoll vocals, Chin Up immediately steps up to the mark. With thrashing guitars and a much heavier sound overall though, there's clearly a punk rock influence also at work.
The chorus is catchy, if a little annoying after a few listens, and the song generally has a great melody and rhythm - perfect for the dancefloor and surely set to be one of the most remixed tracks of 2009.
It's steamy lead singer Lydia's red hot vocals that really sell this track. Her versatile yet fragile tone sets an ideal mood for such a mashed up song. Stylish, vibrant and sexy, this is club-friendly, genre-defying music to lose your head to.
